Tours

Links to purchase tour tickets can be found in the registration confirmation email. You must be registered for the Symposium in order to purchase tour tickets. A waitlist will be created for each tour and waitlist availability will be based on your place in the line. Individual tickets will be made available to those not registered for the Symposium six weeks prior to the event. A limited number of tour tickets will be available at the door for tours that are not sold out.

Refund policy

Refund requests up to 30 days prior to the symposium will be refunded in full minus a $25 administrative fee (received by August 26); requests received 15-29 days prior to the symposium will receive a 50 percent refund (August 26–September 11). No refund requests will be honored after September 12 or for no shows. Registration substitutions can be submitted in writing at any time without penalty.

 

Student Registration Opportunities

The Mills + Schnoering Architects Sponsored Student opportunity provides one complimentary registration for the Docomomo US National Symposium. The M+Sa opportunity includes full registration and two tour tickets. Travel and accommodations are not included. The program is open to current Masters students or recent graduates in the fields of Historic Preservation, Architecture or Architectural History studying in the United States. Students must submit a CV, statement of interest and proof of enrollment. A brief article summarizing the symposium experience and impressions is requested for use in future Docomomo US newsletter and AIA Historic Resources Committee newsletter. Submissions can be sent to info@docomomo-us.org by June 1st.

The Docomomo US/NOCA Travel Grant provides financial support for students and emerging professionals committed to the documentation and conservation of Modern buildings and landscapes. The program provides a single grant (up to $1,000) for related expenses, including (but not limited to): registration to National Symposium, travel expenses to and from National Symposium, and lodging expenses during the Symposium. The scholarship is open to current undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students enrolled in established institutions of higher learning, as well as emerging professionals who have graduated within the past three years. Applicants must be actively engaged in issues concerning the documentation and conservation of buildings, sites, and neighborhoods of the Modern Movement in Northern California.
