Site overview

The ultra-modern First Christian Church was aptly dubbed the “Church of Tomorrow” when it was completed in 1956, and its thin-shell concrete, egg-shaped dome quickly became a popular tourist destination, which it remains to this day.  After the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995, First Christian was the command center for families, rescue workers, and the media, but the congregation has dwindled considerably since then and the church is for sale and facing an uncertain future.
