Site overview

A seminal work by a master architect, the Bavinger House was one of the most recognized designs of Bruce Goff. Based on a helix, the unique form of the house was the result of a collaboration between Goff and Eugene Bavinger, a professor of art at the University of Oklahoma. The construction of the house became a laboratory for architecture students. The house reflects the maturity of the organic philosophy by Goff. Following many years of deferred maintenance, the house was demolished with little warning in April 2016.
