The Greatest Concentration of Mies Buildings in the World

Mies van der Rohe chaired the Illinois Institute of Technology School of Architecture for twenty years beginning in 1938. During his tenure, he produced both a master plan for the campus as well as twenty individual buildings. This two-hour walking tour will highlight IIT buildings by Mies and other architects, as well as the campus landscape design by Alfred Caldwell.

This walking tour starts and ends at IIT Crown Hall.
