World Monuments Fund Responds to Modern Buildings at Risk; New Initiative Launched with Major Gift from Knoll as Program’s Founding Sponsor.
The World Monuments Fund is now accepting nominations to the 2008 Watch list.
Every two years, the World Monuments Fund issues the World Monuments Watch® list of 100 Most Endangered Sites. The Watch list calls international attention to cultural heritage sites of all types around the world that are at risk. Inclusion on the Watch list helps WMF and local advocates to attract support for the protection of endangered sites, as well as technical and financial resources that may lead to their rescue. The World Monuments Fund is now accepting nominations to the 2008 Watch list. The 2008 Watch Nomination Form is available for download from their website:
To request that a nomination be sent to you either electronically or by post, please contact them at email@example.com, +1-646-424-9594, ext. 232 (phone), or fax +1-646-424-9593.
The deadline for submission of nominations is January 15, 2007. The list will be selected by an independent panel of ten experts in May 2007 and will be announced to the public and international press by WMF in late June 2007.
