Tour Day 2010 regional chapters include:Houston Mod, the New Haven Preservation Trust and the Chicago Architectural Foundation. We would also like to welcome back our returning partner organizations: Los Angeles Conservancy, Detroit Art Deco Society and the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia. Tour Day 2010 highlights range from tours of iconic modern masterpieces such as the Farnsworth House by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, mid-century roadside modernism, historic post-war residential homes and skyscrapers, plazas, religious buildings and public art from coast-to-coast. Join us as architecture enthusiasts, historians, architects, designers, preservationists across the United States come together for the country's largest event highlighting the work and history of the Modern Movement. Tour Day 2010 allows us to share our knowledge of and passion for the Modern Movement by promoting public interest in the subject and organizing advocacy efforts to protect endangered sites and buildings.
