Aloha! Join us for a discussion about Parkwyn Village!

Kit and Linda Lirot will provide a brief history of Parkwyn Village in Kalamazoo, Michigan and their personal experience of living with the founders who worked with Frank Lloyd Wright and original home owners for more than 42 years. Parkwyn Village was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1947 and is one of three currently existing cooperative communities in the U.S. These Usonian homes were intended to be economical, constructed of textile blocks, have windows with expansive views, built-in furniture, varied ceilings and an intimate connection to nature. The Lirots will emphasize the influences of Wright on the community, local architecture and their personal lives.

Complimentary light refreshments and pupus will be provided.

We look forward to seeing you there!
